Labour’s transport record: ‘Good in London, but not outside’

Over the past 13 years we’ve seen good progress in London, but outside of London it has been a story of disappointment. In London, the 1999 Greater London Authority Act has provided real powers to the mayor. As a result we’ve seen modal shift from cars and real investment in public transport.
