Ministers are being urged to support a new East-West rail corridor across the Midlands which the promoters say offers “exceptional” value for money.
The East West Rail Consortium this week published the business case for the project linking Oxford, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes and Bedford. The work by consultant Atkins was based on a brief drawn up by Network Rail and the DfT.
