The DfT has given full approval to Surrey County Council’s plan for a new road bridge across the River Thames at Walton.
The new A244 Walton bridge will replace two temporary bridges, one for vehicles, the other for pedestrians/cyclists, linking Walton and Shepperton. A new viaduct will also be built across the floodplain.
