Manchester Airport has replaced the lighting at its Terminal 2 and 3 car parks as part of the airport group’s wider environmental strategy.
This involved the replacement of 2,000 80w bulbs across the two car parks and retrofitting them with 30 and 40 Watt LED units.
This move could halve emissions and cut energy consumption by an estimated 60% over three years. The LED lighting is designed to last for around seven years and be-maintenance free.
