Lambeth employee sacked for cancelling own PCNs loses appeal

A former member of Lambeth’s parking back office team has lost his appeal after being dismissed for cancelling a number of penalty charge notices issued to his own car.

The employee was sacked for gross misconduct after the council received information on its whistleblowing hotline.

He had used his position to erase the PCNs from the council’s back office system.
