Council’s bus operator loses tram contract

Municipally-owned Nottingham City Transport looks set to lose its contract to operate the city’s tram system.

The city council has named Tramlink Nottingham as preferred bidder to build the Notting-ham Express Transit phase 2 extensions to Clifton and Chilwell and to operate the entire NET network under a 23-year concession.
