Kent County Council leader Paul Carter has responded to my criticism of the council’s spending on maintenance of our local network by quoting big numbers regarding the money that he claims to have spent. I am not sure where but, given that Kent has 5,000 miles of road and 4,000 miles of footway, the programmed cash will be spread very thinly indeed.
