General Motors’ new electric networked vehicle (EN-V – right) can park itself and automatically return to the user when summoned from a smartphone. An EN-V can also detect obstacles in its path, including pedestrians or other vehicles, and automatically come to a stop. The GM EN-V uses similar technology to the Segway to travel 25 miles at 25mph because the vehicle does away with many of the sophisticated, but heavy, safety features that are now fitted as standard to all cars....
