Scheme cuts breakdowns by boosting diagnostic skills

First Group is pioneering a new accreditation scheme to enhance the diagnostic skills of its inspection technicians and mechanics. The approach began with the assessment of all 350 inspection technicians. This was undertaken jointly by First and the Freight Transport Association. This identified a common training need to bring them all up to the standard required by the business.
