Segregated cycle lanes for main road in Hove

Brighton and Hove City Council is to implement segregated cycle lanes on a main road in Hove.

The council’s Green administration this week approved plans to install the lanes along the east-west Old Shoreham Road. The segregated lanes will be between 1.5 and 2 metres wide and a low kerb will segregate them from the footway and carriageway.

Old Shoreham Road connects into the north-south Grand Avenue/The Drive road on which segregated cycle lanes have already been implemented.
