More cash for Scots roads and cycling

TRUNK ROADS and cycling will benefit from additional expenditure announced by the Scottish Government.

Finance minister John Swinney revealed an extra £72m over the next three years for roads expenditure and £13m of expenditure on improving walking and cycling infrastructure.

The expenditure arises from £382m of ‘Barnett Consequentials’ generated by spending plan changes by the UK Government.
