Glasgow commuters will offered contactless smartcard payment on the city’s single-line circular Subway from 2013 as part of the system’s £288m upgrade.
The Scottish Government is contributing funding for the system, developed by Ecebs and the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT). It is due to be in place in time for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
