The use of average speed cameras in London is to be stepped up as part of a multi-million pound upgrade to the capital’s camera network.
New details have emerged of TfL’s plan to upgrade the existing wet film cameras to digital equipment. The plan envisages that average speed cameras will be installed on eight (unspecified) Transport for London road network (TLRN) routes, replacing 86 existing wet film fixed site speed cameras and 12 digital spot speed cameras.
