Cambridgeshire busway users have ‘rail-like’ demographics

Cambridgeshire’s guided busway has far exceeded first year patronage expectations and is proving an attractive alternative to driving, according to survey findings.

The results were presented to BRT UK’s bus rapid transit conference in Southampton last week by Bob Menzies, Cambridgeshire’s head of major infrastructure delivery, and Alan Brett, technical director of consultant Atkins Transport Planning, which was project manager for the scheme.
