The Liverpool City Region’s desire for the DfT to pay a proportion of the local transport plan integrated transport block allocation as revenue rather than capital grant in the next Comprehensive Spending Review period is to be discussed with DfT officials this autumn. A commitment to consider the idea was contained in the Liverpool City Region proposal signed off by ministers this summer. A change would have to be approved by the Treasury.
