Councils: clear-up confusion about coaches in bus lanes!

You report that Newcastle City Council is consulting on converting its no-car lanes to become bus lanes (together with cycles, taxis, private hire vehicles and motorcycles) (“Newcastle proposes ending freight access to ‘no car’ lanes” LTT 08 Feb). Did anyone notice the form of transport that isn’t mentioned at all? It’s the poor old coach.
