High-speed rail lobby group Greengauge 21 is exploring options for using the proposed link between the London–West Midlands high-speed line (HS2) and the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (HS1) for domestic and international services.
The DfT currently envisages building a single track HS2-HS1 link for use by international services. Greengauge 21 believes the link offers more potential and the study will assess:
