The Scottish Government has announced an agreement with Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire councils to cap the councils’ contribution to the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR), a 21-mile bypass of the city.
The original funding deal for the scheme saw the Scottish Government pledge 81% of the costs and the councils provide 9.5% each.
