Bristol City Council’s mayor George Ferguson was this week expected to approve a revised route for one of the city’s bus rapid transit schemes, which should safeguard the DfT’s £35m grant offer. 

The Ashton Vale to Temple Meads BRT (now dubbed MetroBus) will use the Cumberland Road corridor, a decision that has angered some transport activists and community groups  in the city.
