Bus inequality: Mets cut subsidy, TfL spends on vanity

I am grateful to Peter Nash (Letters LTT 26 Jul) for analysing the various aspects of London bus subsidy. Both Peter Hendy and David Bayliss seem to agree on the amount of subsidy going to London Buses (Letters LTT 26 Jul & 06 Sep). This includes payments for concessionary fares that, in the provinces, are calculated on a ‘no better, no worse’ basis.
