England’s city-region transport bodies are calling on ministers to allocate a bigger slice of transport funding to urban transport schemes, saying these deliver bigger economic benefits than inter-urban projects.
The call comes in a new report from PTEG, which represents the transport authorities in Greater Manchester, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Tyne and Wear, Merseyside and the West Midlands.
