Public car share schemes ‘need a client’

Barrack thinks a contract from a client for a public car share scheme is essential because it’s hard to make money from members directly. 

“The system was required to pair you and me in the first place because we live in town X and work in town Y,” he explains. “But we never need to go back to the system again because now we know one another. So if you’re trying to monetise those people directly there isn’t a way to do it.”
