The DfT has announced £9.5m of funding towards the £16m cost of building two new rail stations on the line between Leeds and Shipley. The Kirkstall Forge station in Leeds will support a 56-acre mixed-use development of 1,000 new homes and commercial development. The developer Commercial Estates Group is making a £5m contribution to the station. The other station is at Apperley Bridge. Both stations should open in August 2015....
