Transport for London has initiated consultation proceedings for a southern extension of the Bakerloo line from Elephant & Castle to Lewisham, Bromley and Hayes.
The scheme would cost between £2bn and £3bn to build, but would be dependent on contributions from residential and commercial developments in the area served (and which have yet to be built).
