Implementation OF the first Quietways – cycle routes offering a direct, pleasant, back-street alternative to busy main roads – is about to get underway in London.

Two routes are initially being implemented – route 1 running from Waterloo to Greenwich and route 2 from Bloomsbury to Hackney (and later Walthamstow). These should be complete in May.
