Spotlight on Parking event looks at CCTV and sensors

Free event takes place on 17 March

28 February 2015

‘Parking, the next mile’ is the theme of this year’s Spotlight on Parking, a free half-day seminar run by the London Borough of Hounslow and Alpha Parking on 17 March.

Key speakers include Tony Porter, the surveillance commissioner, who is encouraging conformity with the new Surveillance Code of Practice.

Kieran Fitsall, Westminster City Council’s head of service and transportation, will speak about  parking sensors.

Other speakers include Caroline Sheppard, chief adjudicator at the Traffic Penalty Tribunal, and Dr Ivo Wengraf, research and data manager at the RAC Foundation.

Last year’s Spotlight on Parking was attended by 125 delegates, the majority of whom came from local authorities.

Penny Winder, director of Alpha Parking, said: “Spotlight is very much a focussed half-day event designed to give parking and traffic staff the opportunity to  discuss issues of interest.”

Attendance is by invitation only.  For further information call: 020 7242 2567 or email: parkingenquiries@aparking.co.uk
