There was a time when £500,000 bought you a nice flat in London. Now this sort of money just about buys a parking bay in the swankier parts of the capital.
A price tag of £480,000 has been attached to a three-car space in South Kensington. If a buyer can be found it would beat the previous record for a parking spot by £100,000 – and that was £400,000 paid for a two-car underground bay near the Royal Albert Hall, also in Kensington.
