Take a trip to E17’s Cycling superhub

24 July 2015

Delegates at the London Cycling Show will get the opportunity to view some of the innovative new designs and facilities being introduced in Waltham Forest. Among them is a new style 80-space bike hub for commuters next to Walthamstow Central tube station. The galvanised steel hub, designed and installed by cycle parking specialist Falco, is due to open on 31 July.

The hub will be fitted with two-tiered cycle parking racks incorporating three-point locking, flip-down seats, a Sedum green roof and toughened glass panels. Improved security features will include a telephone help point, CCTV coverage, vandal resistant LED lighting and a fob entry system.

Those taking the site tour will also get to the lowdown on Orford Road’s new street design, which will be traffic-free from 10am to 10pm every day except for the W12 bus service.
