Local authorities in Scotland will be given longer to discuss proposed changes to bus services with operators under reforms to the bus service registration process announced by Transport Scotland.
The reforms will require operators to notify ‘relevant authorities’ (local authorities and Strathclyde Partnership for Transport) 28 days in advance of registering a change with the Traffic Commissioner. The current requirement is 14 days.
