Sustrans may be too close to the mode of cycling and to the pro-cycling lobby for it to act as an objective manager of future active travel funding in Wales, a Government report has suggested.
The remarks appear to stem from concerns over Sustrans’ modal impartiality when working on behalf of Transport Scotland. Sustrans Scotland appraises schemes and manages funds for walking and cycling schemes.
