Hackney parking patrol staff win fight over sick pay

APCOA Parking UK has agreed to introduce a sick pay scheme for its civil enforcement officers in Hackney after talks at the conciliation service Acas.

The 30 CEOs had voted to go on a five-day strike last month, demanding the 'London Living Wage' of £9.15 an hour and calling on their employer to introduce a sick pay policy. Staff had only been entitled to statutory sick pay.
