First accuses Stoke councillors of 'vote-winning' attacks on buses

Stoke-on-Trent City Council and local bus operator First have traded insults over the quality of bus services in the area, with each blaming the other for not doing enough to improve services.

The most recent spat in a long-running row came after the council called for First Potteries to appear before its overview and scrutiny commission.
