The Netherlands EU presidency will from April hold a Cycling Festival Europe to "improve the image of cycling and to increase the use of bicycles in the European capitals".
Organised by the Dutch Embassies, the festival will hold events "to get as many people on a bicycle as possible" including a 'cycling to work' week in London in June, and workshops to "bring together local officials and stakeholders to generate ideas to better integrate bicycles into urban transportation systems".
The Netherlands invites those with an interest in cycling to view the festival website and to contact the Dutch Embassy "if you want to participate and share your ideas about best practices for the integration of cycling in urban mobility".
