Derbyshire fills cash gap for Ilkeston

Derbyshire County Council is increasing its contribution to building a new railway station at Ilkeston, after costs rose from £9.9m to £10.5m. Derbyshire’s contribution will rise by £810,000 to £3.08m, including £250,000 for contingency costs. The DfT’s New Stations Fund is contributing £6.67m and Nottingham’s Housing Market Area Joint Advisory Board £1m. The station is due to open in late autumn. The contractor is Galliford Try....
