Many local car journeys are the ”opposite” of smart travel and steps must be taken to encourage driver behaviour change, said transport minister Andrew Jones at Smarter Travel LIVE! today.
Speaking at the start of the two-day event, hosted by Milton Keynes Council and organised by Landor LINKS, Jones said that the best way to encourage behaviour change was to develop “attractive and affordable options” such as car sharing and car clubs.
