What a bumper crop of commonsense we were treated to in the last issue. Frontier Economics has produced  a report that demonstrates that transport planning needs to be taken as a whole, not just the bus bit or the train bit (‘Transport and the economy: how much do we really know?’ LTT 15 Apr). It needs to look at door-to-door travel and remember that not that many people live in railway stations. Whilst more folk are living in city centres, quoting city centre to city centre...
