A Welsh couple’s plan to reduce their car insurance premiums came unstuck after they then attempted to avoid paying a £25 parking ticket. The pair ended up in court and lost two cars.
The couple, Rebecca Jacques and Gavin Price of Llandarcy in Neath, both drove silver Vauxhall Corsas. Jacques’ car was equipped with a black box recorder that measured mileage and how well the car was driven. If she exceeded a set mileage, her insurance would go up in price.
