New study of West Wales rail re-opening

CEREDIGION COUNTY Council has appointed consultant Arcadis to appraise re-opening the railway between Aberystwyth and Carmarthen. The line closed to passengers in 1965, though a section remained open for freight until 1973. Campaign group Traws Link Cymru has been campaigning for the 56-mile line’s reinstatement.
