Municipally-owned Cardiff Bus has applied to deregister several of its routes in order to transfer them to a low-cost subsidiary.
On 4 September Cardiff Bus will cease to operate services 51/53 and 86/27/85, which connect some of the outer suburbs to the city centre. They are due to be taken up immediately by Vale Busline Ltd, a subsidiary that the council-owned operator established some years ago but has never previously used to operate services.
