Transport for London is to implement safety improvements to Hammersmith gyratory in west London, including a 750-metre kerb-segregated two-way cycle lane on the north side that will remove the need for cyclists to cycle round the gyratory. Other measures include: cyclist-specific signals at junctions and pedestrian countdown signals on a number of crossings. A new bus lane will also be installed.
