Utility ordered to pay £24k for breaching TfL streetworks rules

An electricity company has been ordered at magistrates court to pay fines totalling £24,000 to Transport for London (TfL) for mismanaging streetworks. 

London Power Networks, a subsidiary of UK Power Networks, was found to have carried out work without the required permit and failing to serve the required statutory streetworks notices before starting work on schemes in Bressenden Place and Lower Grosvenor Place on 9 February.
