Investment priorities to be set by Labour members

Newly re-elected leader of The Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, has said he is going to seek a voice for the party's half a million members in deciding which capital investment projects should be prioritized, including major transport schemes. 

It marks a further step away from limiting transport strategy to professionals as already embodied in the role of local enterprise partnerships and other national and local government decision making frameworks.
