Cambridge set to approve second busway

Plans for a second dedicated busway to serve Cambridge have been backed in a report to the Greater Cambridge City Joint Assembly. The report says the largely off-road bus route would cut current bus journey times to 28 minutes between Cambourne and Cambridge and deliver more housing and more jobs over a longer period than alternative proposals.
