Clean air scheme launched for taxis in Fife

Fife Council has launched a clean air scheme to encourage taxis and private hire firms to cut their emission levels. Under the free ECO Stars scheme taxi and private hire operators are offered advice on reducing costs and their environmental impact. 

Each scheme member gets a 1-5 Star rating based on an assessment of how ‘clean’ their vehicle fleet is and the best practice they demonstrate.
