Bus passenger numbers in Hertfordshire rose in 2015/16 despite the county council cutting expenditure on supported services last September. Data suggests that 37.87 million journeys were made by bus in the county in 2015/16, the highest number since 1988/89. The council subsidised about 2.4 million (6.3%) of journeys.
