The London Borough of Merton’s cabinet has approved plans to introduce a parking permit surcharge for diesel vehicles. The surcharge would be £90 in 2017/18, rising to £115 in 2018/19, and £150 in 2019/20. It would be in addition to the existing parking permit charge – a residents permit costs £65 for a first vehicle.
