Transport for London has launched a consultation on changes to bus services in central London that would reduce bus numbers on Oxford Street by about 40%. 

There have long been calls to reduce the volume of buses on central London’s main shopping street. TfL says this can now be delivered because of improvements to other forms of public transport serving the street.
