A major public-private investment in the Leeds bus network is close to being finalised, which could kick the idea of bus franchising into the long grass. 

Bus improvements are central to a proposed £270m investment  in the city’s public transport drawn up by Leeds City Council, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, and operators. Three new rail stations are also proposed.
