Transport planners and academics have voiced reservations about the DfT’s new guidance on capturing the wider economic impacts of transport schemes.
The draft guidance, published last September, requires project promoters to prepare an economic narrative for their scheme and introduces three levels of assessment, each looking at schemes in more detail (LTT 16 Dec 16).
