A new commission has been launched to explore future travel demand and how it can be made consistent with the UK’s Climate Change Act target for an 80% cut in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 against 1990 levels.
The Commission on Travel Demand has a one-year life and is part of the Research Council UK-funded DEMAND (Dynamics of energy, mobility and demand) Centre.
